Default Question about prices

Has anyone sold/traded in any Dak's similar to mine? I'm considering getting a Jeep Wrangler and I'm just trying to figure out what I could get out of my truck. One dealer was up to 12k for trade in, and I know trade in values suck, but that still seemed pretty low. I'm setting on about 75k miles and I can blue book my truck but of course that doesn't even consider any of the mods.

Because of the crappy sales on our truck good luck making any money on your mods and additions to the truck.
Some exceptions
- you have a lowered street truck in an area that is widely popular for them, having a custom paint job and ground effects will up your trade in value.
- You have a lifted off road look in an area that is has a lot of lifted trucks
I think you get the picture.

An 05 with 75,000 trade in value will probably be around 10-11k, If you sell it privately you might be able to convince a buyer that your additions are worth more and might be able to sneak out 14-16k

Get on ebay, carfinder, etc etc and take a look at the going rates

Hmm. I just wish I was rich lol. Hopefully I can get my hands on a TJ Rubicon for just a little more than I get outta the Dak. It's time I get a vehicle that I can actually customize lol

I had one guy offer me 7k for mine. I laughed at him.

I think you will be hard pressed to get more than $10K on a trade for an 05. You may get more if you stay in the dodge family and stay with a truck.

When my wife and I traded in her 2006 Durango with 97k, we got $8000 trade in. The estimators online said $7000-$9000 is what we should have got, actual accounts in my area showed most were being traded-in low. I was happy to get $8000 out of it. One dealership offered us $9000, but they were about $2000 higher in price.

For your truck, since it has less miles, the estimators show between $10,000 and $12,000 depending on how equipped it is.

I recently bought a 2005 Dakota for 9K. The dealer originally wanted 11k for it but I was able to talk them down. The only aftermarket parts were a JBA exhaust system and an AFE air intake. So i think you would be able to get at least 12k for yours.
