Default dash kits from rvinyl

i know im probably the only person who likes wood grain(i do like carbon fiber and others too), but i felt like it looked better on my dakota honestly. I always had this longhorn texas feeling with dodge trucks for some reason, so i went woodgrain matched that more than a sporty look. I used to have that crappy triangle carbon fiber looking dash before i got bored of it. So here is a wood grain dash kit i got from rvinyl, its cheap and looks way better than stock. Surprisingly the quality of the wood grain look is very good. Doesn't look cheap and looks almost real. i guess technology is just that good now. Overall everything matched up and all i had to do was line it up and stick it on. Best money for a nicer looking interior, they have a bunch of other looks like carbon fiber(real feel), diamond plate and stuff. Probably the only type of interior thing that is actually available on our trucks.

So don't kill me over this lol but heres some pics:

so for those of you who wanted to try it(or don't want to paint) but didn't know how it would look here you go. If you like carbon fiber it would look better to you, but you get the idea.

You did a good job installing it. It looks like it came from the factory. How hard was it to install? Seems like it would be a PITA to get everything lined up right and keep it straight.

Now that does not look that horrible, The only reason I hate the wood grain is because it was out of place. When you add more like you did, it actually blends well.

Congrats!

honestly everything came almost the right size. Most of the smaller pieces came like 1mm bigger so that you could tuck the vinyl in or trim it to line up perfectly. The dash was the hardest part since i did this by myself. Also the vinyl stretches a little if you want it to so that makes it easier if you didn't line up perfectly. I went kind of slow, i think it took me around an hour and a half. Im thinking cf hood next, thats a 2 person job lol

I don't like wood grain either, but it really does look nice. Should wood grain the grill or the bumpers lol

LOL. Something about how the manufacturer puts the wood grain that I just don't like... not sure why. Not sure if they put too much or not enough or the wood color doesn't match as nice as yours.

you did a really good job. So is this custom cut vinyl wrap? that is interesting man..I don't like wood grain but it looks much better when you add a lot to the rest of the trim

it does make the factory wood grain look a lot less out of place.
now , if they offered that in trucks body colors too i could see potential there as well.
nice job on the install.
