With both at about the same price, which would you choose?

I have no experience with the Michelin X-Ice, but do have some with the other 2 you posted. I've used the Blizzak's on a Jeep and a Hyundai Santa Fe - they're very good winter tires but do have a distinct road "hum", mostly at lower speeds & this diminishes at highway speeds. After 3 winters on the Santa Fe, there's still a lot of rubber left. I got my daughter a set of Winterforce for her Accent, and for the price, I think they're a great tire - so far, 2 winters and still going strong. Now this tire is on a small car, so it's hard to compare to what it would be like on a light truck, but I'd be tempted to give them a try.

I can't tell you yet, but I'm hoping the X-Ice s are good. I paid $500 for a used set on 17" rims (used is more like warmed up, too) and I just put them on this weekend. I have only driven a few kilometres with them, but they don't seem any noisier than the 3-seasons I took off. It got down below freezing last night, so the snow shouldn't be far behind.
