The 08+ has no HO engine option, and there are numerous threads on mpg's here.

do you run 89 or 91 octane? I know the 08+ is more efficient. I average about 16 but I do mostly highway.. oh well!

Run 91, with 89 it gets 1 less mpg. Just another advantage of more power on tap.

For the Dakota drive-train I believe the 04-07 gets about 295 ft lbs. and then H.O. model get 260 HP. That statistic may have been from a Jeep or something

2004-2007:
The 3.7 L V6 produces 210 horsepower and 235 lb·ft of torque. The standard output 4.7 L V8 produces 230 hp and 295 lb·ft of torque. The High Output 4.7 L V8 produces 260 horsepower and 310 lb·ft of torque.

2008+:
The 4.7 liter V8 produces 302 hp and 329 lb·ft of torque.

(of course that's just what wikipedia says...haha)
