its my second one so ya i would buy again. not too big and not too small. the v6 does fine. every vehicle will need repairs at some point. they are good looking trucks. especially with some mods. you dont see too many customized ones on the street

Yep, its been a good truck. Some oddities, but it gives it character...

I've got a lot of character going on too. I voted no just thinking that I originally wanted a fullsize. On the other hand, this truck was a lot cheaper than full sizes I was looking at, has never let me down, and not too many on the road - so we enjoy a little exclusiveness.

Absolutely! I love my truck. The only thing that p'd me off were the crappy motor mounts that are the cause of snapped exhaust manifold bolts. Even the front end didn't bother me much as it was easy to work on and not expensive if done yourself. Plus I've had very few problems, probably due to an Oct. 04 build, which means my parts were most likely the first round of components. No mismatched axles, etc.

YES, only downfall is rust in the rear wheel wells which is common in all trucks were they put salt down for winter, love the 4.7 and the aftermarket performance parts had a 5.2 litre and this 4.7 would eat it alive, just as good as a fullsize for 1/2 the price

Yes, love mine even with the V6. Mostly city driving and not a lot of hauling. My 05 with the custom work that I've done makes me very unique. 107,000+ miles and no major problems.

My vote is yes if I was looking to buy another truck this size. So far the truck has worked well for me. The small Ford is too small, and the Toyota too ugly.

Probably not. The wife wanted a small truck and the price was right so we bought it. It doesn't get any better mpg than a fullsize and can not haul what a full size does and there is NO WAY its putting out the advertised 300hp, even with the Superchips. If I had known all this I would have pushed her harder to go upto a 1/2ton.

I probably wouldn't do it over again. I bought this truck mostly because it was more affordable than a full size and still fit the bill for me for functionality and capability. That it definately does. As far as the trucks performance and ability, I'm happy with it.

What I'm not happy with is how many replacement parts have had to be put on it up to this point. I've replaced all 4 ball joints, outer tie rod ends, sway bar endlinks and bushings, struts and shocks, a crank seal, a rear pinion seal, and just this week the rear end had to have all the bearings replaced because the pinion bearing crapped out. I expect things like brakes and rotors, etc to need replacing, but some of this is unacceptable. The truck only has 70k miles on it, and most of these problems surfaced before 50k. I've maintained this truck to a degree higher than most people. I haven't spared an expense anywhere when it comes to maintenance and I haven't overworked this truck by any means. I have towed with it, well under it's rating, I've never what I would consider offroaded it. It gets daily driven with some occasional hauling or towing. Tasks that anything worthy of being called a truck should be able to handle. The suspension in these trucks, and really all Dodge trucks for that matter are poorly designed and don't seem to be over engineered at all to take on the use that they're marketed to take.

Next time around I will most likely go full size. With the fuel economy that they're achieving now along with the capability it seems to be the way to go. Sorry to say it most likely won't be a Dodge either. For now, I'm hanging onto this one for a while. It's paid for, and as long as it doesn't become a money pit I'll keep it for a couple more years.
