Since you'll be on some rougher roads with a fishing boat and trailer, you should take it for a good test drive to see how it feels for you. You're in the eastern part of the GTA, not far from country roads and even some with snow and pot holes in them, drive the truck on them at various speeds and see what you think. To some degree, the light back end can be compensated for by adding weight, but the mileage is pretty poor to begin with & a few hundred pounds of sand won't help (I carry 300 lb over the axle & it makes a big difference for the better). If you like it, look it over real good & then negotiate - get an after market drive train warrenty (2 year & and at least $1500 per claim) & a Krown Oil Treatment thrown in. A carfax may or may not tell you much, especially if the truck came from Quebec - there isn't the same requirement there to document problems & repairs. Also, watch for disaster area "imports".

just got back from taking it for a test drive. gave it a good once over looks mint. took it for a test drive. it has a squeek and squack on the passenger front side. told the dealership about it and it will be fixed before it leaves the lot, i only noticed the squeek and squck when i went over man hole covers and the gas covers at a gas station. i ripped through a couple to really get her going. other than that smells new and drives mint. motor had a little bit of a whine cause it was cold, my magnum sounded the same before she warmed up. all in all when it gets fixed it will be like new. was an old couple who had it and they barely drove it. they traded it in for a smaller vehicle.
i think i just might get it.
fits me perfect and i'm 6'4" and 340lbs. when i sat in it it felt like home cheers everyone and ty for the info.
forgot to mention i made them pay for a car report and it came back clean as a whistle.

An AutoCheck report also came back with no issues whatsoever on it.

Let us know the outcome.
