I just Plasti Dipped my wood bezel today. Went with black and the gloss finish over it. Letting it dry overnight for one last coat of gloss tomorrow. While it is off figured might as well get a new stereo so that will be done as well.

You big meanie. I hope your GF does this.
haha!

update: driving around tonight the mirror can pick up various security cameras in range! so it's blinking on and off as I drive by, if close enough it gets a lock and the video feed is on. can turn the mirror off at will but too interesting for now. if it ever picks up a really "interesting" camera feed I will most certainly record it!!!

works freaking great at night with the reverse lights since the truck has pretty dark tint in the back windows.

update 2: so the camera stopped working and I was going to curse China but opened up the tail light and what happened was the double stick tape didn't so the transmitter box was dangling and one of the wires came off. relocated to behind the bed liner and it works even better since not shrouded by metal back to happy camper.

wired up the trailer light kit at the same time. happy camper.

installed my hitch step / light bar & test great. happy camper.

installed that autometer mpg gauge got on discount off intarwebs. happy camper.

tried to use the Hypertech 52501 - sorry this vehicle no worky? it's the same as a 2010 Dak! so wrote tech support (ha) for a patch. hopefully not a big deal! -update: nope, big deal. they say completely different 'puter, will email. returned and refunded.

oh yeah, first fill up - 13.07 mpg pretty much all street back and forth (speedo not corrected for tires). Ain't much freeway droning hour after hour going on over here but a ton of bumper to bumper. 15 miles can take ya an hour. such is the price for living in paradise so they say. half nekkid women on the beach every day of the year, priceless, is what I say. -update: 2nd tank 13.50 mpg, hmmm.

Resurrected an old photo account to upload Dak pics so here's how she sits now:

Got the coolest tailgate ladder from RacksforAll open box for an unbelievable $20!!! Score!

Here's a shot showing what's left of my failed bedstripe install attempt. Going to let a tint shop do the next set, figure they have the experience to do it right. I do not want to buy a third set!!!

Stay Strong - weekend almost here!
