I'm gonna put together my own CAI for my Dak to see if it maybe helps anything other than the look under the hood. What size tubing should I use? I'd go out and measure but my truck is being borrowed till later tonight.

Anybody? Is it 3" or 4"? Those seem most likely

3" is plenty.

 

Try to shield the filter from the engine heat, the fan ends up blowing tons of hot air around in there, even when it's cold.

 

I used 3 in electrical conduit 90 deg to make mine have pics my garage. Bought conduit from homedepot I think was like 10.00

 

Did you do it? I'm planning something similar, but haven't started yet. Might do a 0.5 project using the stock air box, but I'm really interested in getting rid of that rig for something a little more direct.
