Default Still in the Dodge Family.....whew

Picked up this for the wife today as a replacement for our tired 09 4-cylinder Journey SE....had to convince her.....she wanted to look at GMC Terrains (butt ugly imo), Ford Escapes (cool, but no 3rd row seating) and Hyundai's (for gods sake, NOOOOO). They actually gave us $8000 for the 09 that had 80,000 miles on it. Paid it off. Could not turn this down. Payments stay the same plus got a 6 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty as well. I highly recommend Carmax (not plugging, or getting paid, just experience)...bought the dak from them and a Windstar a few years back. They have never done us wrong.



2013 Journey SXT. 3.6 Pentastar V6, 7 passenger seating, dual zone climate controls.. everything we wanted except the uconnect thing, man this thing hauls butt.

Very nice ride. You've told me before how you've wanted to make the switch to that V6 before. Glad you got it finally.

I liked my Carmax experience as well, that's where I found my timid little silent 2wd 4.7 back in the day, before I turned it in to a loud fast monster.

I remember the issues I had with the truck, and they handled them without problems. It needed new weather stripping, tires all around, and the front main seal on the trans was leaking. Got a couple midsize chevies as loaners during the process. Good people all-in-all. Even got more than I should have for the s10 I traded in, with a monster warped head, oil leaks, and bent frame horn from being rear ended. Then I was able to get that accident inspected by my agent on their lot, and got a check for 1k.

My jaw literally hit the floor when they offered to buy the 09 for $8000. KBB lists trade-in at $6500 for good condition (which it was). But needed new tires and the transmission was leaking from somewhere.
