Hey guys totally new to the Dakota scene but I have found a truck that I really like and I need some info/help on pricing.

It is not worth 19k to me. I want to know what the "real world" going rate for this truck would be. The internet pricing sites have #'s all over the map from 15k-19k. Any info would be appreciated.

 

I can't make out exactly what the badges on the back say but it looks like the submodel is Laramie - top of the line. If so, KBB value is 19k. It looks like a really nice catch, but consider what you want out of you pickup. Also, there is a terrible aftermarket for Dakotas, so expect mods to be expensive and in short supply.

So what would you offer for it then? Or would you stay away?

 

Well, no telling what kind of damage the truck took in the accident, it could have been minor.
If I'm spending this kind of money, I'd want an undamaged vehicle.

 

Seems too high for the year and mileage.

 

Looking at the history, for that price you're paying a premium. I'd say if its not pristine then pass.

 

Yeah that's a bit on the high side even though it does look clean. I might go for it for less though.

Btw their vehicle disclaimer sounds uninviting... but maybe its just the way I read it.

 

Price too high imo. The carfax does not show any accidents.

 

Carfax shows no accident and two owners.

Autocheck shows 1 accident and three owners.

I hear a lot of stories about how Carfax doesn't show accidents, vehicles in floods, and salvage titles (& more). I wouldn't depend on Carfax, but it's amazing how many people take their report as 'The Best', and drive away in their new vehicles.
