Default Thinking about upgrading

Alright guys,
It's come to that time where I start thinking about parting ways with my baby. She's an 2005 4x4 V8, got about 180,000 on the clock. It's gotten to the point were it would cost more to completely fix things than the truck is worth. I'm looking at this truck here,http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/4297051276.html. This will the first truck I've bought fully on my own and I wondering about things to ask. My dad isn't much help when it comes to things like this, and her drives a ford so he doesn't know much about dodge trucks. Thought I'd ask here and see if I get anything good.

Thanks in advance.

Certainly understand your situation. Things to check would be the normal used vehicle things to check. See if you can get the vin and run a carfax. I know they can be iffy, but it can show things someone would be trying to hide. I'd post it up in the 3rd gen Ram section and get some input on what to look for in that generation.

This thread is from that section and can get you started:

You must drive a lot. I just turned 100k yesterday. That truck you're looking sounds like a good deal since I see a hemi in the pic.

Don't do it....your Dak is a collector's item now...

Don't pull a Jkeaton on us. Secretly, he hides in a corner at night, holding a 3/8" ratchet to his chest...just wishing that he could wrench on his Dak again. Don't make the same mistake he did.
