Just received the notice that there is now a fix for the heated seat recall for 2005 Dakota.
Where is the "heating control" that is talked about being swapped out?
Anyone know the details of the fix other than the Allpar link above?

 

 

They are replacing the heated seat pad elements due to spots that overheat, causing holes or possibly flames. For both seats, if one Tech is doing the work, it will probably take a full day.

Make an appointment at the dealer and get it done. All dealers were notified on or about February 8th, 2018 regarding the recall and repair. This only affects the 2005 Dakota, not any other years.

Made an appointment finally, I was told the truck would be inspected to see if the recall is necessary then they would order the parts.
That's really not how the recall notice is worded, what do you say Dodge Social Care Specialist???
