Default Poor MPG on the Dakota

I know the 3.7 V6 weren't renowned for there power or gas mileage, however, just over the last 6 months the gas mileage has gone from 22mpg on long journeys to 14mpg and town driving 10mpg. I would also notice on the odd occasion a slight pulling to the left. Though intermittently. Now more recently while hauling a loaded trailer of around 4500lbs the truck seemed to be struggling on hills. A few days later I was driving through muddy wet country lanes I could smell something like hot metal. I slowed down and he truck eventually came to a halt virtually without using the brakes. Left front wheel was so hot, smoke was raising from the brake. On order are brake parts. I know my work load next week!

Replace your soft lines as well. Likely that one has collapsed internal, and is acting as a check valve..... and the brakes stay engaged.

Wow, what's going on at Rock Auto, I am having a bunch of trouble ordering stuff now, because of some documentation issues about Russian steel content most parts. They want ship to Europe or the UK because of this.
Ain't these parts that are MOPAR branded USA made or are they using Russian steel??
Makes it very difficult to maintain the US cars here if it gets worse.

First I have heard of it..... And given the US position on Russia/Ukraine, I would be HIGHLY surprised if there was russian steel in ANY USA made parts...... Now, if they are made in China, that's an entirely different proposition......

A trip to the Doctor to have that lead removed from your right foot wouldn't hurt. Seriously, it does sound like you have brakes dragging either from a collapsed brake line or dragging caliper. It probably wouldn't hurt to go over all your brakes while you're down. Worn shoes in back and I'd crack the bleeder valves back there. If it opens and closes, fine. If it breaks off, it might be a good idea to replace it before it seizes on you.

I had another order and had the same issue.

Weird but very annoying.
If it keeps happening I can get parts delivered to my Kentucky address then sent on to the UK but it takes so much more time

It appears that their major malfunction is, they want Mopar to verify the source of their steel for their parts..... I can see why that might be problematic for Mopar, they make a LOT of parts, from different manufacturers...... They likely have no idea where the raw materials for most of those come from, and aren't willing to expend the effort to find out...

Not just Mopar parts, but some other brands to on their website as well.
Hopefully just a glitch with new government rules.

I would hope so..... Otherwise, they are doing the 'guilty till proven innocent' thing. That should annoy a fair few people.
