Default Laramie grill concepts

It was a rainy day so out came the creative thoughts. Have any of you with the laramie package tried the sport grill? if so do you have any pics. I was just screwing around today and here are some concepts, its just tape so its not smooth. I was just trying to get a feel for some combos.

I'd get rid of the chrome bumper and go with the solid red. My Laramie came with solid gray bumpers with no chrome on them. I'm surprised to see yours came with it. I thought that went with the SLTs.

I would say leave it chrome unless you're going to paint the chrome on the bumper, that piece doesn't look right to me with the red on the grill.

I agree take all the chrome off the bumber if you paint the grille red. Also I like the all red grille with no chrome...but thats just me...don't particularly care for chrome...too shiny/flashy.

yeah, i'm in agreement too...go with the sport look....that'll look sharp.

i didn't think the red grill with the chrome bumper looked quite right...either go all red, or pure chrome like the last picture.

I'm in the same predicament. I have the Laramie with excessive chrome in the front (grill and bumper). My first thought was to do much like you, replace the chrome grill with the painted grillbut now since seeing this, I'm thinking maybe I'll just remove the bumper chrome piece. I agree with the others. Something is off with the painted grill and the chrome bumper piece. Hmmm...anyone ever remove the chrome bumper piece? I'd think it would be removable much like the door guards.

Red bezel with chrome bars. I have the Laramie and I always liked the sport or color key grill better than the chrome. The chrome is also very variable to kick up knick and sand blasting effects. I drive 116 miles @ 80 mphfour days a week and there is no mercy on I-95 for that PVC chrome stuff. I wanted a full replacement billet grill but not available only stainless or alum. inserts. The PVC chrome bumper insert is also dead meat after a year on the road in my travels. Florida is one of the worst states for load management in that you name it and its flying off trucks at you. Anyway sorry for the venting. Your truck looks great with either grill scheme but the red & chrome bars are the best IMO.
