Which will provide the most hp/tq gain? A properly setup and installed 3" single cat back run out near where the stock runs now, or 2.25" cat back duals run straight out under the bumper? I'm thinking Magnaflow muffler right now, but that's subject to change. I'm going to have a local shop do all the work.

I think you will see pretty similar readings for both. You will probably have slightly higher torque (maybe 1-2 lb/ft)with the single pipe but you will have slightly higher hp (maybe 1-2)with the duel cat back. I don't think you would register any change with the ol' butt dyno though!

Thanks. Good to know...I'm probably going to go with duals...I like the look.

I'm saving the $$$, just have had some time at work to do some research on the subject and wanted to clear up some questions I've been coming up with. I'm looking to get it all installed in the next few months...getting my tax refund will be helpful.

Definitely post some video clips once you do it, I love the sound and look of duals.

I lost torque going 2.5" Dual with X pipe. 60' times were a tenth slower.I guess I went too big. Must have picked up some at the high end because the truck's 1/4 time stayed the same. [&:]
