I just had the wife go into the truck and slowly press the accelerator while the truck was off and the hood was up. I noticed that the throttle cable is really slack between 1/2 to 1 inch of slack. I know with my bike I need to have little or no throttle cable play in it. Has someone developed a way to remove that slack or am I gonna have to figure it out tommorow

 

there should be no slack at all. i had a bitch of a time when i swapped out my throttle body trying not to break the stop off at the end of the cable. check to see if the spring has been stretched.
