Gonna attempt to slap this puppy on the truck myself, may even do it tommorrow. I'll let you'all know how it goes.I think I'm going to fab up some blocks for the back too.
From what I understand the only tools you need other than some of the norms is a spring compressor.
Which you should be able to borrow from an advanced auto parts or an autozone for free. (They make you pay a deposit and give it back when you bring the tool back)
If you cannot fab up blocks for the rear, remember that autozone has a block and longer u-bolt kit for $25, that come in 1", 2", 3" and 4". I have the 2 inch on my truck and its working great and fit like a glove.
I checked the local N-A-P-A today, since I need longer U bolts any way. I'm just gonna get the2" block kit($27). anybody know if I have to adjust my driveline angle on the rear end w/ those little shims? Does 2"make that much of a difference? BTW, the instructions on the TM site say the kit requires a spring compressor, and a tie rod puller. I think if one is careful, one cuold getaroundusing the tie rod puller.
Well getting mine install at a friend shop, he told me that I was better off using his shop and him than doing it myself and butching the job... I agreed, not my line of work and a spring in the face hurt.[sm=nothatway.gif]
Things to keep in mind, indeed. I'm just gonna hold on to it until I have a whole day to work on it w/ somone else(w/ a garage, tools, and experience).
