Yeah, a 3.7 at that altitude plus trying to pull hills just wouldn't be the best option. I wouldn't have bought mine if it had the 3.7 in it. I do too much driving in your neck of the woods for that.

I'm running 265/70/16 BFG ta all-terrains on mine, the same as jimbo is. Mine came stock on the truckthough because the Durocross is Mitsubishi's off-road package. They dogreat in all of the conditions that I've been in which ispretty much everything. They are a little on the pricey side though. I'm assuming that the '05 has the Goodyears on it. If so then those things are junk for the weather that you'll be in.

Well, in theory, Jimbo is riding on 255's... ;-)

But same tire otherwise.

would much prefer those over the stock wranglers! Guess I am back to spending another ~$800 to get some good rubber back on my truck.

Well guys. I bought the 05 Dak. Plan to add a rear sliding window and add the antispin to it myself. Still not a fan like most of you to the suspension on it after having my 04! seems like they took a huge step backwards....

Got to agree with you and after having all 3 Gens model, I wasn't attract by the 3rd gen but hey the TRX 4 packqge that came with my truck made some difference in the balance...
Congrats on your buy and get a levelling kits to lift the front a bit... hope you will enjoy it.

FIND A TRX4 they come with bf all terrains limited slip and skids the bare basics for wheelin. I went from a jeep on 38's dana 60's with lockers to this, same thing rolled it to beyond repair several times, boo I miss it Oh well the truck handles snow well. I go to VT a lot and had never had a problem. turning radius sucks *** and no real lift for it but I am surethere will be by the time weare done payin for the damn thing.. ...

the turning radius, although better than full size, definately sucks compared to a jeep. I've been wheelin a little and i didn't expect much from these tires, and they still dissappointed. (wranglers) worthless on any mud. Definately do the LSD. I have one and it definately makes a difference. Very hard to get only one wheel to spin. Put on the two inch lift and some 32s and you'll be taller than a factory gen II.
