I hear ya'. I was pulling a trailer over the weekend and the vehicles behind me were all over the back of it. I'm not sure what it is but people get stupid when you are towing stuff.

the gooseneck? I figured I dont have time to work on it with everything else im working on right now although it would probably pull better being heavyer if I converted it to bumper pull.
Yeah, that one. Yes it would probably pull pretty nice but that seems to be like a very large target for other drivers. Your last two trailers were pretty small and people enjoyed hitting them, I'd just hate to see how many of them would try to take that one out! That trailer would probably hold up a lot better though.

Hey, is that fleet of trucks yours? Looks like a pretty large one. How much land do you have down there?
That shop is 40 acres, its about 40 macks, 1 46' lowboy, 1 cat 245 trackhoe, 1 cat d6, 1 cat d5, 2 cat 950's, 1 cat 966, 1 rubber wheel roller, 1 bantom crain, 1 fire fan, 1 4"water pump, 1 case 510 propane grove tractor, and a bunch of broken down equipment and cars, also a model 12 cat grader and a 5 bay shop attached to the office.

Nice. I used to operate a cat 950 and a cat 955 for a small trucking company. I was a mechanic there but got to do many other things. It was a fleet of about 7 trucks, mainly Peterbuilt 379's. We also hadone 378 and a few broke down Kenworths that we were building back up. That was a fun job, I wish I didn't have to stop working there.

lol!! I hear that! We operated those things in all different weather. We used them when it was below 0* for snow removal. They can be a pain to start at those temperatures but it's nothing a little shot of ether doesn't cure! You probably don't have that problem though!

Well, what more of a reason do you need? You need to be comfortable because some sweat could drip in your eye and blind you for a minute causing you to crash the loader! lol!

The 955 was an open cab and at those low temps with the wind it really sucked to play on it. I tried to use the 950 then because it at leasthad heat and a closed cab, just not the best traction on ice.

ya, both my 950's are open cabs and my 966 has closed cab and heat but no a/c lol (dosent make sence for florida does it?) it was bought used though. I mounted a little fan on the dash of it and keep the door and side window open all the time. I have a nice little bungy cord holding the door open lol

Really? I didn't even think they made 950's with open cabs. Maybe they just aren't very common here. I wish we could have had a 966 because that would be a blast to operate. How muchbigger is the 966 compared to the 950? I've never seen them side by side.
