Default 3.7 valve issues???>>>

Took my 05 Dakota in for service when it died at a stoplight. After the sealer fixed it, they stated there was a TSB on the intake valves, and they would need to be replaced. Dealer ordered parts, and I returned it to them this Monday(23rd). On the 24th, service manager calls and says they'll need another day on it. OK fine. Friday comes around (with no call from the dealer on wed. or thur.) and I call to see what's up with my truck. Service guy says they're checking everything on the truck, but are still getting a misfire on cyl.3. He then told me they were going to replace the heads completely. So 5 days go buy, truck not fixed, and they didn't even offer a loaner. Anyways, I've searched around and have not been able to find this TSB. Is anyone familiar with it and does it only affect 05 models??

I have been to the dealer twice now and i have'nt heard anything, so they said there's a tsb on valves, i am going to check that list and see, i have a 05 w/3.7also with almost 30,000 miles, how many mile's do you have on your dakota, i am just baffled how many tsb's there are on this truck i mean i have had 2 tie rod's replaced,1 sway bar link, 1 front right wheel bearing, 2 front rotor's and some sensor GRRR.

Only 17xxx miles. Luckily I haven't had any of the brake issues I've heard about. As soon as I get it back it's getting traded [:'(]

Ya, that's what happens on the first year of new vehicles....

There's always gonna be something wrong with em.

No matter what. Sorry to hear about your misfortune though!

Good luck!!!

It's too bad, I really like the truck besides the 3.7 having NO torque. My old 93 Dakota had 215k when I traded it in on the 05. Only thing I did to it was a water pump and radiator.

Probably a Subaru Forester. We just had a baby, and need a 4dr car. Hopefully I can find an older 3.9 Dakota CC for a decent price.
