Default Tonneau Cover and Bed Rug/Spray in

Ok. I found a local place to get a low profile tonneau cover (A.R.E)that is color matched to my truck for $945, installed. This cover will completely cover the area of paint that the drop in liner had rubbed off.So i will be able to get that fixed. also found, at the same place a bedrug for $395, installed. Is this a good deal? And out of curiousity, anyone have any clue what a good price would be to repair the paint on the bedrails of the truck, worst case scenario being they have to repaint the bedrails entirely?

1-i have a leer and like it but i didnt get the low profile one....are is compairable....idk about price, should be about right

2-i cant tell u about paint prices

3-tell them you got a quote for the bedrug for 350 installed elsewhere and see if they match it....they should...if u get a tonneau, definately get a bedrug...its not actually carpet, its a plastic fiber, feels like carpet though.....battery acid wont hurt them, blood wont stain them.....everything rinses right out and it will not absorb water...its a lot tougher than you think....if you are getting a tonneau, DEFINATELY get a bedrug...here is mine...also, i have used a shovel on it and it still looks new...ive had dead game back there, all is well

you could also just get the bed rail/tail gate caps installed before your tonneau. then you won't have to repaint them and you'll add protection...just a thought. They will work with the bed rug also.

i paid 1200.00 for both the a.r.e. lo pro and the bedrug. pics are in gallery. you will like the tonneau. smooth finish ,if you get both from the same dealer see if they will cut you a deal. if you pay in cash some places dont charge tax

I, too, have a BedRug, but mine's with a Century Royal topper. I love it, though....protects my sound/lighting gear that i usually haul and really stays quite clean. I wouldn't pay more than $350 either...that's what I got mine for, installed.

absolutely no higher than 350 installed...i got mine for less, but i did have connections with a dif shop and just threatened to go there and they matched the price...only reason i didnt go to that shop (the one where i have connections) was so i could get my lid and bedrug installed at the same time and get a little better deal

So here's a funny question....any sugguestions on how to wax the tonneau? this is my first truck, and it seems to me that most of the tonneau is unreachable without a ladder, which i am nervous about due to the "Oh ****" factor of falling down and through the tonneau, or damaging the paint. That would suck.

Take it off, lay it on the ground, wax it.

Or, maybe just get a little step ladder.

lol i would most definately not take my tonneau off just to wax it...i cant remember, but it either has 12, or 16 adjustments to make it fit perfect....iven if it just had 4 clamps this would be too much work imo....like frency later said, you may want a step ladder..this might work well for you....im 5'4"-5'5" and what i found works best for me is hopping up on the tire....ya, i just put one foot at the top of the tire and kinda jump up and stand on it....i can get every square inch like this no problem and it also allows me to be able to clean the paint strip across the top of the cab around the 3rd brake light.....but seeing as how i am younger than some of u guys, it may just be easier for you to get a step ladder like frenchy said

its also a good idea to wax your roof (not every time, but now and then) eventhough most ppl wont over see it...it will keep it nice
