i think you should buy the night runner headlights . i got mine from dodgeparts.com for $330.00 . the thing about painting them if you screw them up getting them apartyou would have to by headlights anyway. if you found some one to paint them i would worry about how they would turn out you know runs and stuff. and can you black out the gray edges any way?and what would it cost to have it done ? buying the night runner headlights is a sure thing , and you can turn around and sell your old one on ebay if you wanted to . this is what i went through when i was looking at black headlights. the factory night runner headlights are done right and look amazing !!!!! hope this helps.
It's called Rust-Oleum... its a self leveling spray paint. ;-)

I bought covers for my headlights. Check out my page at cardomain and you will see what they look like. They make the headlights look like the nightrunner headlights. I think I paid $46.00 for them. I just installed siverstar bulbs in the headlights and fog lights. They are worth every penny I paid for them. They are so much better than the standard bulbs. A nice bright light. Get the H13ST and the 3157AST for the headlights and 9145ST for the fog lights.
I have the same covers, had them for a while now. I just use the stock bulbs though they work fine. I love my headlight covers, but I also love the Night runner Head lights too... its all about how much ur gonna spend, I couldn't afford the nightrunner headlights, plus I don't think they are worth $330.. and I don't think Painting them would look that great/ work that well...so thats why I went with my covers I got them off autoanything.com for about $50 with tax and all, they look great and I love em...check out my cardomian if you want pics to see how they look for your self.

I'm considering pulling my headlights apart and painting the housings patriot blue this summer, I don't think it would be too hard, just heat em up some and carefully pry the glue apart.

good idea altair

anyways the thing about the nightrunner lights is they are too much obviously, they are more than the LED halos that are black on ebay...lots more. and i was gonna get those but i decided the bulbs were too small for the housing of the headlight...it gives it a 'dialated pupils' look. i just want to paint them, carefully scott...carefully.

hey frenchy what paint should i use? and should i get like a cheep little baby paint brush for it? aaaand could i use the same glossy black paint on headlights as i can on the girlle crosshairs? that'd be convinient. i forget the paint code you told me.

and the headlight covers look a little corny to me no offense but it just looks like a cheap add-on to me, just my opinion...it would stand out more since my truck is silver and not black, it looks better on black trucks. i need to paint mine.
