Do you have any pics of it while you were installing it?

Or not?

ericemery , it is the clutch fan that makes that blowing sound , and i hated it . my truck has the towing package with the heavy duty cooling. my clutch fan stayed locked up alot. when i put my electric fan on , it really freed the engine up alot , mostly on take off. now when i push the gas pedel down it just goes. it doesn't feel like it's holding back anymore !!!!!! this is the best performance mod so far . over the series 63 K&N intake and the 68.5 fastman throttle body. these are worthy mods but the fan out did them both. and it does so much more

#1 no fan roar
#2 a/c works better (cooler) mostly at idle and in traffic
#3 it keeps the engine cooler in the summer (never over half way anymore) even with the fan running at 60%
#4 fan doesn't even run in the winter unless you sit idle for a while
#5 fan only draws 18 amps MAX , pulling 3,300 cfm's at 100%
#6 maybe alittle more mpg if you keep your foot out of it
#7 mine is wired where i can run the fan manual , can cool the engine compartment off formantiance after the engine is off.
#8 better PERFORMANCE !!!!!! over the clutch fan

So far everything is running good. I don't really use my a/c much but it did seem colder when I tested it just after installing the fan. I'm not sure if I should play with the temp ajustment screw. The fan kicks on when the temp hits the half way mark on the temp gauge and runs for maybe 15 seconds and shuts off droping the tempback to normal. It seems when stopped at a light the fan comes on and runs for 15 seconds shuts off for 10 to 15 seconds and comes on again. This only happens when stopped so I guess this is ok. When driving the temp stays at normal. I guess I will see when summer hits and temps hit 90 plus. Its funny since I installed the fan I have one eye on the road and the other on the temp gauge. I am very happy with it though. I do notice a little more git up and go when I step on it. I didn't have a chance yet to really get on it though. I really hope it helps with gas mileage. We shall see.
