According to the service manual (aluminum wheels) 140~160 fp I compromise at 150 fp I use a click type torquewrench.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was in a hurry because I have a roofing nail in my front tire.
Could the wheel have been damaged from the over tightening?

If you just have a nail in the tire that's easy to fix, as long as it's not in the sidewall. Buy a plug kit, let the air out, pull the nail, push the rougher through a few times and put the plug in. These days everyone recommends patching from the inside etc.....but old school works fine here. If I can see it and pull it out, I plug it and use a small compressor to pump it back up. If all I see is a hole, I'll take it to have the tire pulled from the rim in case something is inside, otherwise I save the time and money.
