yeah, I soak as much into the bank as possible... I am extatic when I find a 10 or 20 in an old pair of jeans or whatever lol...

I am wondering this, do couch account pay more than 1.2% or whatever the national average is? ;-)
Depends if you count money you forgot was in there as new income or simply stored credit

Transgo makes a 545RFE -HD2 shift kit that is pretty easy to install and is supposed to firm up shifts nice, not tire chirping, but quicker and firmer.

When I change my Dif's and Tcase to AMSOIL I am going to install this kit (in about a month), I will post results.

I have been searching for any feedback from anyone that has this kit and the jet stage 1, but have not found any. The RAM 1500 setup would be the same as the 4.7 is the same and 545RFE trans is the same as well. I found it interesting the JET stage 1 is the same PN for RAM 1500 and Dakota.

My guess is that they will have a good programmer/tuner out for the 08 4.7 since it will be easy to sell one that would take the 290hp well over the 300hp benchmark. We can only hope it will also work with the older 4.7s and give it a healthy 15 hp. That would at least bring the HO to 275 hp. Add in a good tuned free flow exhaust system and a CAI all re-flashed to take advantage of the mods and I may be able to get to the 290 hp. I just don't know if it's worth the money and still have top run plus grade gas.

What's the likelyhood of the the new 3 valve heads mating up to the old engine? of course they would be expensive.

Transgo part # 545RFEPSK is the do-it-yourself kit. 45RFEHD2 is the kit designed for a transmission shop to install, it doesn't have all of the gaskets since a good shop will have them. Either kit will work in the '05 and up auto trans.
Transgo also recommends reusing the factory trans fluid or replacing with factory trans fluid rather than switching to synthetic.
The kits will firm-up the shifts without touching the PCM or any electronic controls.
