Speed grille inserts fixed
I bought a whole new speed grille kit and fixed the passenger side insert that I cut so I could open the hood. Now I use a screw driver and stick it in the hole closest to the hood release and it opens. I am working on a more permanent way to open it though. Maybe I can make the hood latch a little longer or something like that. Can't upload pics here too big so you will have to visit my cardomain page
what's so hard?! you tie a cable from the hole in the latch down the black grille frame and tie it loose so you can reach under your grille and pull it to relase it! thats it!
I was bored so I went and dug up the pics from that thread:

Yea I posted about it before and got the you can go to hardware store and get gutter mesh and do it yourselfreplies. The inserts this guy sells are pan shaped and its heavy duty expanded mesh aluminum and held on by wire ties. I had to drill like 6 holes for each panel but you have to get on your hands and knees to see how they're attached. I'm sure if your not comfortable with the ties you could use screws or rivets.I installed them last fall,so far so good. Here'ssome pics of the set up I made to pop the latch.

Alright so I'm a little slow ok. I even printed the pictures. Well at least this setup looks like it will work better than the one that comes with the insert kit.
