anyone had trouble with their keys not working? i found out when i opened it that the battery holder came loose. i called the dealer and he said they have this problem all the time and all you do is soder (sp?) it back in place. I bought a gun and did it. still doesnt work. my truck is 300 miles over warranty and they are gonna charge me a lot to fix it. any suggestions? did i do something wrong? cuz its all connected now. even got a new battery

This exact thing happened to me last week. The damn key was $190.00 programmed. I am an electronics tech. I was not successful in trying to repair my key either. 51,000 miles on my '05 CC 4x4.

my truck came with 2 programmable keys. i very rarely use the push button to open door. only time i use it is to set the alarm. other then that when i get out i manually lock the door and use the key to open it.

Read the owners manual. If you have one working key, then it tells you how to reprogram the other key. Or buy the key and program it yourself.
