RE: Level kit install woes
No pics, and no lift either
Had a hell of a time compressing the springs so I took the shocks down to a local auto shop and had them put it in the wall mounted one. The bolt on the top of the drivers side strut was cross-threaded, we tried for awhile but there was no way to get the nut off without snapping it and making the strut useless. So I tore my front end apart for nothing, now I'm going to be out $60 for the snapped endlink I broke taking it all out and $60 for an alignment. I'll just wait till I buy new struts then install the spacers.

Dang sorry to here that...gotta love quality control sometimes.... The worst factory screw up Iexperienced was when we bought a 99' Expedition.
The factory didn't install the lower control arm to frame bolt on the passenger side rear suspension and worse , the upper arm on the same side had the bolt only partially installed with no nut..lol. It must have been made during the palyoffs.[:@]

Yikes! Almost makes me want to rip apart the whole truck and make sure Dodge didn't pull something like that on mine, lol. I'm still mad the dealer made me buy a new end link, that thing snapped under almost no force. Pretty sure a pretzel is harder to break than that was, it had to have been defective.

Bummer about the strut, I remember reading about someone else on hear having the same problem and was down until they got new struts from Dodge. That was my biggest fear when I had mine done (instead I got an idot for a mechanic that F'ed mine up.)
Oh well, off to the Salsa & chips, and BEER!!!
I suggest you do the same!

Bummer dude! The end link? For the tie rod? Cross threaded strut nut? That's twice I heard of that happening. I guess I got lucky when I did mine, even though I had a helluva time gettin my struts compressed. Like a dummy, I did it while they were still attached to the lower arm. What a rookie!
