Hey guys, new to this forum, usually post on dodgetalk, but see this forum gets more daily Dakota activity. Gotta simple question, I just bought a 2006 SLT, used, had 11,000 miles when I bought it, just wondering where to check to see what gear ratio it has, sure doesn't fell like 3.92's. I looked in the glovebox and nothing there!
check on the rear axle tube, tehre may still be the factory tape band around it with the ratio on it. If thats not there I think the axle code is on the door trim sticker and the dealer can look it up for you.
no. my 12 bolt came with the 3.55. most likly it is the 3.92. the 6 can barely get out of its way with the 3.55. go to any dodge dealer and give them the vin, they will be able to look it up for you.
Hmm... well I guess I will have to call the dealer then... thats what I was told over the phone by the dude in service. "the 12 bolt rear ends are the 3.92..." what a tool...
