Leveling kit questions before install
Ok so I have the Trailmaster Front leveling kit. The 2 spacers and the six bolt, washer, nuts and red locktite. I was reading the "level kit install woes" and it mentioned something about removing the tie rod ends, but the install kit from Trailmaster doesnt say anything about needing them, just spring compressors. So what is the deal, do I need them or not? Also, I'm not sure about if I read it or my mind is playing tricks on me, but I do use the bolts that were included with the kit right? Thanks.
Nevermind I just found the "new" instructions. Did everyone use a tie rod tool? http://www.sportcompactonly.com/manu...ster/DL223.pdf
I did, lots easier that way. Napa, Autozone, or Advanced Auto all have tool "loan" programs, deal is you buy the tool, then when you return it the cost is fully refunded as long as all the parts are there (Napa even pays you back if you broke it, just bring back all the parts). I'm sure other auto parts stores do this as well, I got the strut compressors and tie rod seperator from Napa then brought them back after the strut problem was discovered.
Is this what it looks like? http://www.amazon.com/12in-Tie-Seper...657921&sr=1-14
If so couldt I just use a crowbar? or a big flathead?

That will work far better than the crowbar. The gap in it fits around the shaft and you don't actually pry with it. The end is inclined and you just pound it in, gives you much more force than a crowbar could. I would say just rent it and return it later.
