Okay,

I have one of the stock mopar soft covers..... Yall think it will be fine too? I have not taken it through on of those Esso no touch car washes as I was concerned what the chemicals might do to the black mopar cover.

It should be fine... they are all made out of the same type of material... vinyl... the only thing I would say is again put a protectant on it every once and a while to keep it from cracking and also from fading...

What is this protectant called (The best one, or does it really matter)? How often should I apply? That was another concern I have, was fadding. Don't want that damn sun to kill it. Will road salt be an issue with these covers in the winter?

As to which protectant is the best I can't answer, I haven't used any yet... my brother does on his Ranger and the Tonnaeu still looks GREAT! but IDK what its called I'll try and get that info... I don't think road salt will be too much of an issue with these tonneaus.

I've done two winters in Kansas and Missouri with plenty of road salt and have not had an issue. A little time won't really hurt, but just like your truck remove the salt as soon after exposure as reasonable. I have a bottle of that protectant sitting in my garage, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called - sorry.

303 Aerospace Protectant. Me and my dad have been using it on the company trucks (metal roll'n'lock covers with vinyl over the metal) and our trucks (vinyl tonneau's) for a long time now, stuff works great.
