Default Add a remote start

Has anyone added a remote start? If so what type did you add. I am thinking about it for the truck and I would want a unit that used the factory key fob. Thanks

If you're willing to pay the dealership for the mopar remote start why not go to a decent audio shop and get a security system with remote start installed? Shouldn't cost much more and you'll have more peace of mind with the security. (As a side note if you already have the upgraded mopar alarm I don't think you can get mopar remote start)

When I bought my 06 truck I made them include remote start as it would have been standard on the 07. They gave me the option of the factory or Astro Start. After talking with installers I went with the Astro sytem, better range and features. Worksfantasticand works with the advancedfactory security system. The guy installing it did forget to change one of the settings at first and the alarm would go offrandomly after start. he fixed it before I brought it home and have never had a problem with it. ( I think it was charged to the dealership for around 250.00 installed.)

I run a car audio shop here in toledo ohio and we charge 179 for basic w/keyless and 233 if you have a centry key that includes bypass mod and keyless. If any of you guys are from around here let me know and i can get you a sweet price on one installed!

You should look at the Mopar factory unit kit. It works with the factory key 3 button fob. The 07 I have came with RS and it works great. A buddy ordered the Mopar unit kit from a dealer who has an E sales site and sell factory parts at around a30% discount. He had a local dealer install it for $75.00. This kit has the harness to work with the CAN and you want that since it works with the factory lock commands and engine kill CAN circuits.
