i'm in wv, is it worth a trip to ya? If i sell my bumper to you, i'll have to replace it w/ something; meaning I 'll have to buy some $tainless and spend a day welding... Let me look at the truck's front end first.

Frenchy, your right. I'm MOSTLY about function. The stock steelys look really bad (no offense to anyone out there) I gottem cause there more durable and cheaper. The black helps and the price is right.

Hey rookie how much to buy your front bumper? Or I'll give you mine. Its painted black with the chrome piece on top painted black as well but the paint is peeling off. Your bumper is just what I'm looking for no chrome so the paint will stick. You could take my bumper and sand it down and do what you want with it.
If only you were closer to me, I'd take that trade in a heartbeat if you'd throw in a swap for that black nosepiece. I want the look your front end has, I hate the chrome around my grill.
Yep I want the look Pro 4X4 has too ... everything black [sm=vader1.gif].. come to the dark side... :-P

speaking of the chrome bumper piece... anyone know where to get one? I am kinda thinking about it a little...
I read somewhere that you need a new bumper too, as the chrome piece has tab that fit into slots in the special bumper.

I'd consider trading you my bumper for yours later this summer (would need money to get it painted first, lol), you'd have to get the lower part painted. I don't like the chrome piece but if I took it off the indent and mounts for it would look funny.

The steels are more durable in that they wont beak or crack, only bend, and bend back.

What exactly are you doing that you expect to be bending the wheels? I would think that requires a LOT of force.

I'm sure you could just cut the holes for the chrome strip....

That, or cut the tabs off the chrome strip, and permanently mount the strip to the truck...

I don't think it would look right, I'm pretty sure it's indented into the bumper so it sits flush. I'll see if I can snap a close-up a little later.

The only reason I still have mine is that I haven't found anything I like better. I, cough and gag here, like the way they look. I'm considering painting them black and putting a size larger tire on them to fill the wheel wells a little better.
