Ok. Here it is:

The one I'm referring to is called a Heat Sink Cooler.
I've got one on my '53 Chevy w/350/700r4 and a friend has been using one on his '32 with a 400hp V8/700r4 and never had a trans heat issue. We're both using this cooler without another cooler.

Yeah doesn't the tow prep package come with a Trans Cooler... although isn't it a radiater mounted Cooler???

My '06 has the tow package, and one of the options installed because of the tow package is what the factory calls an "internal transmission cooler"?

ya, I read that too yesterday and couldnt figure out what it ment by internal

That would be the same thing I have and I don't have the tow package.
Sounds like they were trying to save some bucks....
