A Fun how-to LED Turn/Parking Lights
Mine has the hat too...
Eric, I've heard that those load resistors get very hot over time and shouldn't be mounted to plastic. You may want to check your lights after a while and make sure the resistors aren't melting the plastic.

yeah, I am actually thinking about mounting them to the frame rail... but I have to extend the wire and I dont have any laying around. I will do it permanantly when I get my 8500K headlights later this week/weekend...
here are some night pics...

mine had the hat too, but i took it off...stuck some plyers in there, and yanked it until the plastic broke, and then puled it out of the housing. You do have to be careful pulling the fixture out, I broke one of the things too, but oh well, doesn't effect the appearance of the truck.
i used some of that heavy duty 3M mounting tape and put them on the frame behind the fixture, there's a part of the frame that looks like it curves down, perfect for mounting things to it. I mounted my entire HID kit there too
dude i love that tape, it does everything! the only thing it didn't do was mount my GPS too well. From getting up to like 120 degrees inside and sticking to black on my CD bezel it didn't like the heat. That's where LockTite came in and did the job right!

I went ahead and used some black glue from the hot glue gun... its supposed to hold up to heat after I hit it with some zip kicker... I also got my 8500K headlights in today. I love it when stuff is waiting for me when I get home from work. Pics to come when it gets dark out.
