Ok, so I have called around to a couple of 'performance' type exhaust shops around the area, and the prices they are quoting me seem to be more than just ordering the catback straight from the manufacturer.

I think these bastards are just ordering the parts and marking them up...

Anyway, I think I am just going to order the parts I want and then maybe go to Meineke or some such have them weld it all together. Anyone else go this route??

Yeah personally I would go this route too if I didn't have the muffler guy near me that I do. In west Los Angeles county here there's a guy who buys in large amounts flowmaster and magnaflow mufflers and exhaust systems, and cust makes exhaust systems and welds them. I got my Flowmaster Super 40, removed both resonators, and installation for $190, which wasn't too bad I thought. But yeah if you dont have a guy near you like that, buying the parts and having someone install them would be the best idea.
