If you're unsure enough to ask all of these questions, you probably don't want to waste the time and money to tint them yourself. I tinted my wife's ZX-2 and I paid to have the rear window of my truck tinted. To give you a good idea, the ZX-2 was done first. After wasting a good part of the afternoon and trial and error I decided with the truck to pay someone to do it. It may sound easy, and the ZX-2 only took me about an hour for two doors, two side windows and the rear window, it's tedious pain in the ***. One crease and you've ruined your tint.

Just letting you know because you sound unsure about trying this yourself. Pay someone, get it over with in way less time, and get a warranty with it.

I agree with beazer pay someone to do it. I tried tinting on a previous truck I had and unless you are a very patient person and are willing to take the time and I mean a lot of time to do it right then pay someone to do it. I had a hell of a time doing it and if I was to do it again I would take it somewhere to have it done. You will be much happier with the results. Its like my grille. Sure I could have painted it myself and spent 20 bucks on paint but I knew that I could never do as good of a job as a pro could do. My grille came out great and should last a very long time.

Well its done... its not a GREAT job, but its a pretty good job in my opinion... it really helped to have my friend give me a hand... unfortunately after going to 2 Murrays, an autozone, and a Pepboys I couldn't find anything but Gila... and after reading Eric's entire write up and watching the Gila video...it wasn't that hard... as far as having someone else do it... my friend had his done at a tint shop and they don't tuck the tint under the edge of the roll down windows so you have to wait5 times longer ...2 weeks instead of 2-3 days... plus his is peeling in a lot of places... I mean its peeling in the front cuz he's an idiot and rolled it down after 10 days instead of 14, but in other places its peeling and has bubbles... soo in my opinion if the quality is going to turn out like that I mise well pay 10-15 bucks a roll and do trial and error than pay 200 bucks to get a ****ty job with a warrenty...

Glad it came out good for you curtiplas. Want to do my truck? I just want the driver and passenger windows tinted to match the club cab doors windows. Did you post pics?
