Its a really faint sound... in fact I can only really hear it when the radio is off and the blower is off or on the first notch... and its really hard to describe... its not quite a rubbing noise nor a squeking noise...

Anyway I'll try cuban said in the next couple of days and get back to everyone... but I'd still appreciate more help and opinions

 

Now that you mention it I notice sometimes when say in a parking lot and turning the wheel to the right and if I hit a bump I hear a noise too. I know how you feel about the dealer. They will use every excuse in the book on why they won't cover stuff under warranty. They make it a big hassle. I mainly notice it when I go to this hardware store by my work because they have a stone parking lot. It doesn't really concern me too much thats really the only time I hear it. It hard to describe the noise its sort of sounds like rubbing I guess. I am planning on sometime when I can afford to is new struts, replace the swaybar bushings and end links and I see summit racing.com sells new upper ball joints for our trucks so I may get them too. You know the factory uses cheap parts anyway so these will be an upgrade.

 

Oaky so I can better describe the noise now... it sounds more like a sqeaul than a sqeuk or rubbing noise...

Also I sprayed some PB blast rust remover and Lubricant on the steering colomun... still didn't help... the sound isn't as bad...but its still pretty bad... I'll post up pics later when I get home from work...

LOL... I'm thinkin it might be from hoppin so many curbs at work lately... I've been transportin alot of computer $hit in my truck for the last month... and I only noticed the sound after a couple days of hopin multiple curbs a day... oh well... its under warrenty right??

I don't have much faith in our suspensions, I've already got another grinding noise going on in the front over bumps (had both shocks replaced around 12 or 13k under warranty too) and my brakes shake at highway speeds, guess it's time to bring it in for a look-see by the dealer again...[:@]

 

Yeah I was gonna take my truck into the dealer yesterday but ...no noise... in fact no noise today either... and thinking back I usually only hear it when its raining or really humid out... so I'm gonna wait til the next day like that that I hear the noise and take my baby in... :-(... atleast I should get a free rental car...

 

They don't do the rental thing around here, they will give you a ride home within 10 miles though.

 

Yeah the only reason I get a free rental is cuz my Truck is a certified used car.. that was an employee Lease turn in... that I got from the marshalling center... :-D
