Yeah that doesn't look much like our engine bays to me either. Here's one of ours (ericemery's truck) everyone can judge for themselves:

 

There are similarities between the two engine compartments but lots of differences. Most noticable is the plastic cover over the radiator. I have to think that this is not a gen-3 Dak. Maybe it's a Durango. We also did not geta picture of the rear disk brake conversion.

Maybe the brake conversion is on his friends similar to his 3rd Gen looking 2nd gen dakota...

But prolly not.

 

ya, im thinking if it IS a dakota its probably a 2nd gen. but dont they come with rear disks?

 

I believe it was an option on some models, don't think it was standard though.
