No offense taken altair but like you said since there isn't enough data either way why suggest it to a new guy until there is more reliable data about it. I know the setup I have will increase gas mileage and performance and I think thats what the guy was looking for.

Well I think 24.3 mpg on the highway in a 4WD v8 6spd manual, after the mod, and 22.7 mpg on the highway before the mod, is enough to say it helps mpgs...

And this has been tested many times by me.. I have gotten as high as 24.7 on the highway after doing this.

I can see where you're coming from there, I'm not suggesting it or against it either way. I'm still on the fence whether I want to put it on my truck, waiting to get more info on it, especially performance in very cold weather. Frenchy be sure to keep us updated this winter!

I disconnected my Power wire for the winter. Not sure if it was helping or making MPG worse, but drove the whole winter without it. Just put it back in, and notice a Increase. Temps are hovering around freezing now. Just like when I initially put the power wire in, the Tranasmission shiffted less on my commute. Its a hilly, curvy road, speeds form 50-70MPH. About 16 mi long. Drive it every day. Rigth off the bat, I notice less hunting of OD. That in itself is it fro me. I HATE hunting

I guess I kinda sit on the fence with Altair over this mod, the only thing thats making me not try it is the unknowing of the long terms effects...but I am glad you guys are all trying to better the performances of our trucks. Maybe sometime soon I'll take that jump...but for now I am gonna stand on the edge and watch.
