My buddy is in the process of doing it with his Colorado. It all depends on state, it could be 3 times in for the same thing. It could be amount of time in shop...it all depends on state.

My dad had to go through this with my sisters Kia Spectra. Transaxle went out 3 times and he said if he didn't get what he wanted he would sue...he got my sister a new eclipse half off.

What they will normally do is give you a vehicle that is silimar to the one that has the problems and give it to you at the same price, payment and amount that you have already paid on the last vehicle.

So basically they give you a new car that is the closest thing to the one you have... no extra money needed... just paperwork?

YEAH pretty much...lol yeah my car has stalled out once when parking at work...I think my kneee hit the key and turned it off! i'm not sure but i think thats what happened! so that could be whats happening to alot of people...cause the key if you have anything hanging off of it it is fairly simple to hit!!!

hey, uhm, check your alternator. And also have you added on any electrical components? My truck was doing that EXACT same thing when I wired up a power inverter wrong (too long of a ground), and when i would be coasting to a stop, it would do the same thing, juuust turn off on me..and i'd have to restart the truck at the red light.

Well I feel a little better now. Happened to me three times in the last 3-4k miles.

Guess I should be taking it in... just such a pita.

yeah some of the stuff was...my problem was just a stupid move of mine that Sears was able to figure out for me by putting on a tester and seeing that when my engine RPMs went down from deceleration and stopping, my alternator's output went so low that it would stall the engine. I was able to fix it by re-wiring the power inverter I had installed, which was causing the problem.

Same thing happened to me about 4 times( Raider), but like a lot of replies here it just hasnt happened again in a while(7000k miles). I too tought it could be the way the key is inclined in the ignition switch, it might just take little bump action to turn the truck off without a person noticing.

I too aksked around at the dealer and they couldnt figure it out.

No lemon law for me, i love this truck. Sometime love can be blind =/

Try a search using "4.7 stalling". Mine was due to transmission issue with gunk causing some valve body solenoids to stick.
