You can get a "Pop-n-Lock" for about 45 bucks which locks your tailgate....

 

I need one too, here in orlando ive had a couple of friends who had theres stolen.

 

if anyone installs a power tail gate lock they should write up about it i'm interested in getting one i just don't know which oneto get and how dependable they are...

 

I'm planning on one but I'm waiting till I can get a Leer 700 at the same time. No point putting a locking tailgate on with a soft tonneau, that's asking to have it sliced up...

Thats just pitaful low someone steeling a tail gate. At lest steel on with some steel in it like from 1995 and back.

My cap should be here in about three weeks, and after looking at the 'manual' tailgate lock, I leaning more towards the electrick lock...

 

This my Dak with the ARE Z series topper. It's on of the best-looking toppers and my second ARE. I had one on my 95 Dak. Let us know on the electric latch. I may go that way also.

Well I bit the bullet and bought the Pop-n-Lock electric latch ($78.95 free shipping) last night. Once it get here I willdocument the process for future reference.
