Default My dakota (new guy)

Hey guys, just signed up on the forums. Below are a couple pictures of my truck. Let me know what you think!

2007 Dakota SLT Club Cab 4.7L V8 Magnum

I put a cheapo aftermarket dual filter intake in as you can see in the pictures. I want to put a hoodscoop on and thought with that design that cool air would rush right into the filters..yes/no?

Black chrome 20" Boss Motorsports wheels.

Built a subbox in between the rear seats, it fits perfectly to allow the seats to go up and down. Only a 10" sub though

Flowmaster performance muffler and had a shop install it with the dual.

I want to either do a throttle body spacer or this Jet Chip next. I hear the tbs isn't worth the money from about 50% of the people I talk to.

Any opinions on what I should do next? Thanks guys!

Outstanding! Wheels are real nice, they fit the look. Lol. What sub is that? I saw where a guy on another forum cut 10" holes in his rear floor pan for tow subs. That seemed extreme.

Sharp lookin truck, I like the wheels. TBS is good as a paperweight, that's about it, save your money. Also one thing to think about with that intake is that it places the air filters right above your exhaust manifolds so I'd imagine they're sucking up a good bit of heat from the exhaust.

Thanks all. It's a pheonix gold 10" 500W DVC sub, I got it on ebay for like 50$. It was really pretty easy to get that setup in there, I just measured it out and built the box, purchased the fabric from a local shop here for like 10$ for the roll. The wood was like 20$ and I had the Alpine amp from my old car. Cheap project, only problem is the size of the box I put it in, would rather it of been bigger for sound but I listen to mostly rock music and it gives great flexibility of notes.

The intake I got on ebay for like 60$ as well, I don't even remember the brand. Like Altair said it's in kind of a bad spot and does get a lot of warm air, I'm hoping to get a hoodscoop to open some airflow, don't really know how well it's going to work but I can always just get a K&N one later.(But I'm not going to lie, the sound of the intake is pretty sweet, you can really hear it suck air and gives a neat little whistle and a certain rpm)

So..the throttle body spacer is a waste of money, but the throttle body replacement itself is worth the money?

Btw, does anyone know the actual increase of hp/tq/mpg gain or loss from the Fastman TB? ( I could probably search around a little bit and see it on the forums but I'm getting tired)
