Default Recommendation for a CAI

What is the membership’s recommendation for a CAI? What are some of the best prices on what sites? I heard the K&N brand is over priced but some say still it’s the best. The idea of the PVC pipe over metal seems the right to go for cooler air. Open plenum surrounding the filter is said to be better than the filter with no plenum. Duel filters and using metal pipe with both filter over the manifolds is just a great looking set up but draws heat. You all been there done that sofrom members I'm looking for an opinion.

definately the k/n 63 series. once it is installed you can relocate the iat sensor where ever you want. easier to drill threw unlike the metal ones.

Cool, I want to relocate the ITA sensor. The power wire was a good boost but moving the sensor would even help more. Any recommended site for the best pricing?

I also have the 63 series but have yet to relocate the IAT.

Also if you have inspections, the 63 is not CARB certified, so if they do a visual, you will fail.
I know of others that have kept the stock intake and just put it on for inspections.

Sounds like the 63 series so far. No inspections yet in Florida. They killed them years ago but we have this (want-a-be)green Governor who’s up the governators but making brownie points with his green crap. Inspection may be coming here just to boost revenues. Anyway still going with 63 series.

We need a red-neck Goveror. Love the smell of wood fires, peeling tires and exsaust from a well tuned machine. (Space Shuttle?)
turbot_bird: When is the next cruise in Old Town? I'm back in FL for a while anyway and our launch schedule has been insane. We are now supporting Atlas & Delta as well as Shuttle. I'm ready for some no space stuff like killer engines to look at and stuff.
