I just bought a 4x4 laramine which i love.. but one problem.. ive been paralyzed for a little over a year and can get into this truck fine but it just takes some time and energy.. any lowering kits out there for my 07 4x4??
There are lowering shackles which lower the rear end 2" and level it out with respect to the front. I don't know of anything to allow you to go lower than that though...
I would look into the lowering shackles and maybe even a nerf bar to allow for an additional step. (if your truck doesnt already have them.)
there are also companies that work on vehicles for disabled people, they might have something to help you out. I will do some digging if you would like.
ive looked into alot of things and someone said that i should try to get it lowered... but if theres nothing out there than theres not much i can do... thank you for all of your input you all have some very nice trucks.. and 1 more thing.. WHY THE HELL ARE THERE NO AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR THESE BEASTS lol
i can get in it fine on a normal day.. but i play murderball(wheelchair rugby) and after a three hour practice its a little tough.. one of the guys on my team has an avalanche and he had his lowered i was just seeing what was out there
there is a way to lower our trucks, but its a custom air ride setup... that would let you drop the whole truck 4-6 inches. but it will also cost around 3 grand plus finding a place to install it.
air ride technologies (shockwave) is the company... i am not sure what site I saw it on... maybe do a quick search for the term air ride in the 3rd gen dak forum...
