Well looks like I might be a lil' too late, but I have a V6 as well I love my V6 although I have a manaul Transmission so although I'm not puttin down as much as a V8 its not too noticeable and it all really depends on what your plans are for the truck... if your into modding get the V8 you won't regret it... if you looking for economy get the V6 as shibby said... you won't notice the difference much doing mostly highway driving anyway...

 

It's a truck dammit! If you are going to ***** foot around on the boulevard with nothing in your truck but oversized speakers, then a V-6 may be okay. If you plan to get off of the blacktop, and haul something heavier than 100 lbs, you will be thinking just like the old commercial. "Gee, I could have had a V-8." The V-6 is just not enough power, and the 4.7L is somewhat marginal when hauling or towing anything of consequence. Better a Hemi, or the promised Diesel.
