Question
i was in a parking lot and accidently tugged on my lanyard and it pulled my key off, giving me no power. car stalled. i put it in park, started it and the engine light came on. next time i drove it, the light was off. as of last night, the light came back on. should i just disconnect my battery and let the computer restart or could it be anything? also, i did that on monday and dove the truck everyday since.
Sorry but what are you refuring to as the lanyard,is it your key chain?I don't understand, did your key come free from the "key fob"
I know that most Daks came w/ the chip in the key fob and if its not within range of the responder the truck won't run long after start up.

lets say for the sake of simplicity that the (inserted for simplicity: Keychain) was rolled over the edge of the key fob, thus being tight enough that when snagged, it pulled the top of the key backward (to the off position) and the truck stalled while in motion. I can not think of anything that would be screwed up, aside from the computer maybe thinking that the engine cut off and lost power. But that seems unlikley to me, the computer would see the key turning to the off position. The CAN-B system sees all!
