It almost looks like they're going back to the early or mid-90s when things were all boxy. The '08+ Dakota reminds me a lot of the 1st Gens. You're right, though, they are almost playing catch up to Chevy and even the Ford. I like the styling, but I definitely think Dodge should be leading, instead of following.

Talk about not feeling. For some reason this truck at the dealer looks (wrong). I thought it looked better in the Chicago show pics and now I'm like what happened. The front lost the Ram look and looks like, Hell I not sure what it looks like. Like a want a be half bread 08 Caravan crossed with a Nitro. Ok the fat lip on our Daks may not be the best idea but at least the front looks like a big truck or something in that order. It will have to a lot of growing on me.

Look on the bright side, if the new one's ugly we don't have to feel bad about sinking money into mods since we won't be upgrading for awhile (Not that I ever feel bad about it anyhow, haha)

as for the looks of the truck, get rid of the nose. if the frt clip is the same then you will be able to swap out the frt clip on the 05-07 dak and install it on the newer one. thus having a sleeper.

OK...the Sport package is nice. But I am still not blown away by it. I am still not getting the whole "looks like a Caravan/Avenger...wait, I'm supposed to look likea truck...I think" look of this truck. It is not attractive at all. Too much chrome on the SLT. I guess they are trying to make it "classy". It's just not working. The engine and the rest of the truck is nice. I really like the interior, and the new tailgate spoiler option, but the nose....god it sucks.

Maybe they will get the hint and modify it a bit for the 2009 version.
