please tell me you pulled the lower unit and check the gimbil bearings ect before you purchased it....

 

havent had a chance too yet but eather way I got a good deal on it

 

well, what did you pay, bc you can spend a few K on the lower unit alone....for instance, the main drive shaft alone (depending on model) could be up in the high $300

 

(the functions of the internals/any engine work is not my field at all) but im pretty sure they dont make the 470 anymore

 

no, its not made anymore. I know the old owners and this boat has always ran fine. turns nice and easy. A few years ago I went though the whole fuel system in it and now im going to do it again for preventative mantanence along witht the cooling system and changing all the fluids.

actually, we have these. they have independent susp. a 250cc, 3pt harness...their pretty bad ***, they have an optional brush guard, which i couldnt find a pic of one with it, but they are bad ***...go between 55-60...2 adults can fit comfortably and you better have a tailor bc it wont fit in the bed of any full sized truck
