I love my electric fan and will never go back to a mechanical fan. I have the flex-a-lite black magic fan. I had problems with it. I came close to overheating several times because the fuse kept blowing. Here flex-a-lite had upgraded the 30 amp fuse to a 40 amp fuse and I must have got one that didn't have the bigger fuse. They sent me a whole new controler and the fuse. Now the fan runs great. I still have the mechanical fan and I keep it just in case something happens I can swap them out. But the electric fan is the way to go. The dealer can't give you a hard time unless they can prove the fan is the problem. But also this is where all of us need to be somewhat knowledgeable about our trucks so we can prove to the dealer that they are wrong.
